Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure will make a stop in Langkawi beginning 31 December 2026, marking the first time the island welcomes cruise passengers directly. The cruise ship will visit Langkawi as a day port of call, allowing guests to disembark for sightseeing before returning to the vessel. All sailings on this route will continue to originate in and return to Singapore.
What to expect on the island
Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Haji Iskandar bin Datuk Haji Mohd Kaus said the announcement strengthens the island’s position as a destination for international travellers arriving through different routes. He added that the visit will introduce guests to the destination beyond what they may already know about the island.
Visitors who choose to go ashore can spend their day in Langkawi according to their interests. The island offers a range of experiences suited to families and travellers alike, from nature-based activities and family-friendly attractions to local crafts and cultural experiences. Langkawi is also home to Southeast Asia’s first UNESCO Global Geopark, providing an opportunity to encounter the geological and natural heritage that distinguishes the archipelago.
Guests must return to the ship by the all-aboard time communicated onboard. They will not be permitted to embark or disembark in Langkawi during the visit.
